Man Upset After Failing To Cast A Vote

A 28-year-old man was upset that he did not get to vote at Nukui Village School, in Rewa yesterday.

Tawake Soro had updated his voter card to blue at Nawaisomo in Beqa, when the election team had visited the village last year.

The farmer’s card read, Nukui Village School Hall as the polling venue with the date of issuance as October 14, 2021.

Mr Soro said he was surprised to have been advised by a Fijian Elections Office (FEO) staff member that his name was not on the voter list. He said he created a fuss with the FEO staff.
