A single mother of six children sacrificed her comfortable village life to help her five-year-old daughter.
Marica Batiloga of Saqani, Cakaudrove, was among the 17 participants to graduate with a Certificate in Basic Sign Language at Labasa School for Special Education in Labasa last weekend.
The 10-week course was organised by the Fiji Association of the Deaf Northern branch, with support from the Fiji Sign Language Committee sponsored by Rotary Club of Labasa.
