Setting aside one-and-a-half hours of the day studying has paid off for Alumeci Rakatia Ravanua Qele when she was announced Gram Sangathan School dux.
At the prizegiving ceremony at the school in Buiduna, Nausori, the 13-year-old was not surprised when her name was called because she knew she earned it.
“Instead of playing every afternoon, I would spend that time studying,” Alumeci said.
