1500 Police Personnel On Duty During Elections

One thousand five hundred Police officers were deployed across the country to provide security and manpower for those who voted yesterday.

Commissioner of Police, Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho said: “We are constantly interested in the use of technology where we know our big groups are specifically located at any particular time.”

He said there was a command centre set up and CCTV cameras were installed in some areas for monitoring and security purposes during the conduct of elections.
