Low Voter Turnout Is A Worry Says Saneem

As of 6pm yesterday, there were an estimated 315,000 Fijians who cast their vote on Election Day yesterday.

This is against the 693,915 expected to cast their vote overall.

While Supervisor for Elections, Mohammed Saneem, deemed the low voter turnout was a worry, he added: “But it is what it is now.

“People have had their 10-and-half hours and those that have showed up will be the ones deciding the fate of those that did not showed up,” he said at the press conference at the National Results Centre at FMF Gymnasium.
