Low youth turnout rates during the 2022 General Election are attributed to a lack of interest towards politics for many young voters.
Youth Co-ordinator for Integrity Fiji, Grace Konrote said that young people were disengaged from politics that in turn did not represent them.
The majority of registered voters during this General Election were below the age of 40, however, the low turnout rate didn’t surprise Integrity Fiji.
