A call for mass gathering by two members of the We Unite Fiji Party will soon be investigated by Police.
Party deputy leader, Dr Jone Hawea, and candidate, Abel Camillo, allegedly made the call for people to protest the 2022 General Elections process at the Vodafone arena in Suva.
Commissioner of Police, Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho, has warned members of the public to not to get involved in any mass gathering without a permit.
He said those who fail to adhere to this warning would be investigated.
Brigadier General Qiliho said the first suspect, Dr Hawea, went live on Facebook this evening calling on people to gather in mass numbers at the Vodafone Arena to protest the 2022 election counting process.
“The second suspect, Abel Camillo, has also called on people to gather in numbers at the same venue in protest of the election process.”
