Yao Wins Golf Scholarship
“I flew the Fijian flag at the recent Pacific Mini Games and in the US. This year was not that good hopefully I play in big tournaments like the Q-school in the US."

National golf rep Jia Yi (Tom) Yao has a four-year scholarship to study and play golf at Newberry College, South Carolina.
With his scholarship he is eligible to play in the NCAA II golf university tournaments.
At the end of the four years he joins the Q-school in America, the pinnacle of golf.
“I am going there but it will all depend on how financially secure I am,” he said.
