The Fiji Police Force, leaders of political parties and heads of religious organisations are calling on the public to remain calm and respect political processes.
This was after Police received a number of reports on stoning incidents on Wednesday night allegedly targeting the homes and businesses of Indo-Fijians.
Commissioner of Police Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho also called on social media users to be mindful of what they post on social media, so as not to create unnecessary panic and fear based on rumours and unsubstantiated information.
