CID Takes Over Ditoka’s Complaint Regarding FijiFirst GS Sayed-Khaiyum Comments

The Criminal Investigations Department is conducting their analysis on the complaint lodged by The People’s Alliance general secretary, Sakiasi Ditoka, at the Totogo Police Station yesterday.

Mr Sayed-Khaiyum in a press conference on Wednesday said they had been receiving calls from members of the public concerned of uncertainty following increased reports to Police of home stoning, bus drivers being slapped and reports.

Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said the NFP and PA released a statement responding to COMPOLs statement saying that the reports must come down.

“They shouldn’t be talking about reports coming down, they should talk about people not doing such things,” he said

He claimed that this demonstrated the divisive character of Rabuka.

“Rabuka is the man that created the division in Fiji in 1987. The entire rationale of this man has been to divide Fiji to gain political supremacy.”

“If you see the toxic environment that has been created since yesterday (Tuesday) on social media, the level of racism in this country has heightened.”

Commissioner of Police, Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho, said following the handing over to CID, the next course of action would then be decided.
