Talks On Cut In MP’s Pay Set Next Parliament

The cut in parliamentarians’ pay and allowances will be discussed in the next cabinet sitting.

The People’s Alliance had promised to review the pay and allowances for all parliamentarians within 100 days of taking office.

Currently, the salary package of the Prime Minister is $328,750 per year. While the ministers sits on average of $200,00 and $185,000 a year. Deputy Prime Minister Manoa Kamikamica said there would be some announcements coming soon announcing the cost of ministerial positions.
