Flash Flood Warning, Heavy Rain Alert In Force For Fiji

This comes as a trough of low pressure lies to the west of Fiji and is gradually moving towards Fiji.

Flash Flood Warning, Heavy Rain Alert In Force For Fiji

A Flash Flood warning has been issued by the Fiji Meteorological Service, for low lying and flood prone areas.

People living close to small streams connecting to the Vitogo river, Nasivi river, Ba river, Rakiraki and Penang river are advised to be cautious.

This comes as a trough of low pressure lies to the west of Fiji and is gradually moving towards Fiji.

Other areas that are likely to be affected include low lying areas and crossings within Nasivi, Ba, Rakiraki and Penang rivers.

A Heavy Rain alert is now in force for Yasawa, Mamanuca Groups, the whole of the Western Division including the interior of Ba and Ra.

This alert is also for the Northern Divison, Kadavu, Lau and Lomaiviti Groups.
