The Fiji Police Force is advising Fijians to celebrate the New Year with consideration.
In particular, Livai Driu, Chief Operations Officer (COO) and Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), reminds parents and guardians to closely supervise their children after reports of children throwing buckets of water and water balloons at moving vehicles have been received.
A/ACP Driu said such behaviour is dangerous and a safety threat to drivers and other road users, and must stop.
He reiterates the need for celebrations to be held with a high degree of responsibility and consideration of others.
