Prepare Yourselves Before Its Too Late: Chand
As people have welcomed the year 2023, they should also be mindful that the cyclone season still remains.
It is urged to be prepared and careful than to be hasty and so do something later you may later regret.
Dany Chand, 41 of Viseisei Back Road, Lautoka said he had already put up shutters and stored clean water in advance.
“Even though, our area is not badly flooded or damaged, I cannot afford to risk the lives of my family,” he said.
Mr Chand said he would keep the shutters up until the threat of cyclone and flooding is not gone.
“People may start preparing themselves the very last minute but that’s when panic occurs and we tend to forget other important things like buying torch and batteries,” he said.
