Bainimarama To Get Govt Quarters, Support As Leader Of Opposition: Rabuka
Prime Minister, Sitiveni Rabuka has made his stance clear about the provision of support that he intends to render to his predecessor, Voreqe Bainimarama.
Mr Rabuka made the comments during the traditional welcoming ceremony accorded to him by the Parliament of Fiji staff.
He said that Leader of Opposition, Mr Bainimarama will be provided with all necessary support and budget to properly carry out the function of the office he now heads.
The Prime Minister added that Mr Bainimarama should also be given Government quarters unlike previous holders of the Opposition office.
Meanwhile, Mr Rabuka also reassured the Speaker, Secretary-General and the Secretariat that the Coalition Government will ensure that the necessary support is provided to Parliament that will enable it to carry out its work efficiently and effectively with minimum disruptions.
