The remainder of the HSBC World Sevens Series will be brutal and Fiji needs to up the ante says former New Zealand sevens captain Karl Solomon Te Nana.

Te Nana won the gold medal as part of the New Zealand rugby sevens national team at the 2002 Commonwealth Games.

The former professional union player currently works in broad­casting as a rugby commentator.

A regular to Fiji, he is in the coun­try as a commentator at the McDon­alds Fiji Coral Coast Sevens at the Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka.
