Nairai Villages Celebrate AG Siromi Turaga’s Position In Government
“I think this is the first time ever in almost 55 years that I see the people of Kubuna-I-Wai in such a large gathering,” Mr Turaga said.

The vanua of Kubuna-i-wai (Nairai Island), made up of five villages, celebrated the appointment of Siromi Turaga as the top legal officer of the country during a traditional ceremony at the FMF Gymnasium in Laucala on Saturday.
Mr Turaga, a former Nadi Magistrate, is now the country’s Attorney-General and Minister for Justice.
Mr Turaga is originally from Tovulailai Village. The other four villages on the island are Natauloa, Waitoga, Vutuna and Lawaki.
