A-G Siromi Turaga: I Will Advise You
Do not accept legal advice from outsiders.
This was the advice Attorney- General Siromi Turaga gave to President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere during a meeting at the State House yesterday.
Mr Siromi, while briefing the President, took the opportunity to assure Ratu Wiliame that he was the Chief and Principal Legal Adviser to Government.
“He must accept legal opinions from our Chamber and not from an outside source. I am the first point in which he should advise. No other law firm should be advising on any other matters and if he’s in doubt of any matter our office is open 24 hours to assist His Excellency. I made that very clear,” Mr Siromi said.
