Drua Too Strong For Tryless Rebels

The Mick Byrne coached- Swire Shipping Fijian Drua outfit beat Melbourne Rebels 24-0 in their Shop & Save Fijian Drua’s Super Rugby Pacific pre-season clash at Prince Charles Park in Nadi this afternoon.
In the early moment of the game, Drua development player and winger Taniela Rakuro ran down the embankment and came close to scoring a try as the cover defence nabbed him.
Halftime: Drua 0-0 Rebels.
In the third quarter, Namotomoto, Nadi, native Kitione Salawa picked up a loose ball and dashed to score under the post with Teti Tela adding the extras as Drua led 7-0.
A few minutes later Narewa, Nadi rugger Tuidraki Samusamuvodre added another try for the home side with the conversion missing, 12-0.
In the dying moments Drua won a scrum and rookie halfback Philip Baselala’s quick deliveries created an overlap with Selesitino Ravutaumada delivering the final pass to Iosefo Masi who scooted to score the third try in the corner.
A dropped ball by Kemu Valetini saw Masi scooped it up and ran through a gap before passing it to No.8 Joseva Tamani who ran in the final try.
Valetini added the extras to make it 24-0.
