Our Men Stay On Track In Sydney

The Fiji Airways Fijian men’s rugby sevens team has qualified for the Cup quarterfinal of the Sydney Sevens tournament after thrashing Japan 54-0 in their Pool D clash, this morning.
The Waisea Nacuqu-captained side currently tops the pool with better points’ average against top seed France.
Both teams have qualified for the quarters and their clash set for 5.33pm today will determine their quarterfinal opponents.
The Fijians led 26-0 at halftime with tries from Nacuqu, rookie forward Josese Batirerega and Tevita Daugunu. Nacuqu landed three conversions.
In the second half, plucky rover Manueli Maisamoa opened the scoring followed by a double from veteran forward Sevuloni Mocenacagi and halfback Pilipo Bukayaro with the conversions going over.
Today’s second round results: USA 7-26 Samoa, South Africa 28-12 Uruguay, New Zealand 33-0 Kenya, Fiji 54-0 Japan, France 40-0 Tonga, Australia 22-7 Canada, Great Britain 26-19 Argentina.
