Taxi Drivers Group Celebrate One Year Of Success
The Fiji Cabbies Operators Association will be celebrating its one-year anniversary today.
The association, which was established last year, had one particular vision in mind to take the taxi industry forward.
There are more than 20 drivers who are part of the association.
Association president, Jai Subhash, said as a young group the members had achieved a lot in the past year. Mr Subhash said one of their biggest achievements was the implementation of the Open Taxi Rank System (OTRS).
Before they became an official association, they developed the thought of the OTRS, which later grew into a proposal to Government and relevant authorities in 2021.
