Let’s Go Local: Trekking Through Highlands And Beqa Island Tops Ronald Kumar’s List

Life would be dull without travel for holiday maker and chief executive, Ronald Kumar.
The head of Asco Motors travels around the country for business and leisure.
“Travelling is something I enjoy doing, and checking out the beautiful resorts and hotels that Fiji has to offer,” he said.
“My partner and I are avid holidaymakers; we believe there is much to see and experience in our beautiful country.”
Mr Kumar enjoys keeping grounded, and staying connected to family and the community.
He lists cooking, boxing and mixed martial arts as some of his hobbies.
“Philanthropy, without publicising it, is something I love to do,” he said.
Mr Kumar worked his way up the ranks at Asco Motors over the past 17 years.
Where in Fiji would you take friends to?
The highlands escape to trek through the mountain ranges and communities in the interior of Viti Levu. Activities as such help strengthen the bond with people, while having great fun connecting with nature and the communities.

What is your favourite spot for a coffee or pie?
Café Planet at Korotogo.I love stopping over for coffee and pie.
Adrian and his crew are just wonderful people, and the coffee is the best I have tried in Fiji.
What is your favourite backyard spot?
Maui Palms, Coral Coast.
The seclusion, coupled with amazing food, and the lovely resort staff.
Wayne and his crew are amazing.
What is one place in Fiji on your bucket list?
Beqa.
Its pristine waters make for a great diving experience.
I love learning about sharks.
I think they are the most misunderstood creatures in the world.
It will be a humbling and enriching experience with a strong dose of adrenaline.
