Four To Seven Cases Of Leprosy Detected Each Year In Fiji

The Ministry of Health and Medical Services continues to detect four to seven cases of leprosy annually.

In commemorating World Leprosy Day yesterday, Minister for Health and Medical Services Dr Atonio Lalabalavu said with the support of the Government, they would continue to fight for a leprosy-free Fiji.

“Although we continue to detect four to seven new cases annually, I have confidence in our staff here at the Leprosy and Dermatology Department that they will lead us with their expertise, knowledge and skills to achieve our mission,” he said.
