Kiribati Joins The Pacific Islands Forum
Kiribati will rejoin the Pacific Islands Forum (PIF), including the island nation’s re-commitment to further bilateral co-operation with Fiji.

Kiribati will rejoin the Pacific Islands Forum (PIF), including the island nation’s re-commitment to further bilateral co-operation with Fiji.
In an exclusive interview yesterday, Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka said he had positive discussions with President Taneti Maamau of Kiribati.
Mr Rabuka visited the island nation over a week ago with the objective of getting Kiribati to rejoin PIF. Kiribati withdrew from PIF before the 51st meeting of forum leaders in Suva in July last year.
