Male School Dropout Graduates In Weaving In Labasa
The 18-year-old lad said he witnessed, on a daily basis, how his mother weaved and so he decided to learn weaving and turned it into an income generating project.

The only male participant to graduate from the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ Naleba Youth Training Centre in Labasa with screen painting and weaving short course last Friday aims to set up his own business.
Although Jovilisi Bosucu dropped out from Holy Family Secondary School Year 11 last year in Labasa, he believes life can continue.
“I am from Raranibulubulu Village which is very far from Labasa Town and so I thought of setting up my business in the village,” Jovilisi said.
“My father is a cassava farmer and my mother weaves mats to sell.”
