Village Hall To Protect Villagers In Cakaudrove

The people of Vunikura Village in Cakaudrove now have a community hall that can be used as an evacuation centre during natural disasters, hosts functions, events, meetings and training courses.
This is after the Savusavu Community Foundation (SCF) chairperson Ken Barasch accepted the villagers’ request to assist them in this $50,000 project to build the hall.
“A great partnership between the foundation and villagers led to the completion of this three-week project,” Mr Barasch said.
