The Fijian Competition and Consumer Commission (FCCC) had started a review of taxi fares upon receiving requests from the Fiji Taxi Association for an increase.
Commission Chief Executive Officer Joel Abraham said this was because taxi fares had not been reviewed for the past 11 years and due to the rising cost of operations.
