Legendary Labasa Striker Dies At 77

One of the country’s foot­ball greats is no longer with us. Former Labasa striker Jim­my Zoing died in Labasa re­cently.

Zoing played football from the early 1970s to the 1980s. He was the oldest of the Zoing brothers who did their district and country proud in football.

The other brothers were Alfie, Maxie, Rexie, Simon and George. Fiji Football Association president Rajesh Patel said the country’s entire football fraternity are in mourning. Patel acknowledged Zoing’s enormous contribution to the sport.
