The Labasa community yesterday laid to rest one of its famous football sons Jimmy Zoing.
Zoing, 77, is remembered as one of Labasa’s fastest and fittest players in his prime. He also represented Fiji Football in the 1970s and 80s.
During the eulogy Zoing was described as a never-tiring trainer, whose physique and fitness levels became an inspiration to others.
Yesterday his sister, Selina Lee Wah, said it was a sad moment to lose a father-like figure like Jimmy.
