Former Fiji Rugby Union coaching director and now Nadroga technical director Franck Boivert believes that we must produce our own style of play, that suits our players and brings the best out of them.

He told SUNsports that it was time to stop all the ‘cut and paste’ stuff from overseas clubs and create our own identity.

Boivert said this way Fiji Rugby can be competitive against the world’s best.

Here are his views:

SUN: For the Skipper Cup, do we really need to lift the pace to match what it’s like in Super Rugby?

BOIVERT: We cannot compare Super Rugby to Skipper Cup. The players are all amateur in the Skipper Cup and are not in a training environment comparable to Super Rugby plus the provincial officials are all volunteers they are the unsung heroes of Fiji Rugby.
