Parents Yet To Receive $200 Back To School Assistance

Some parents and guardians, who applied for the $200 back to school assistance from Government, have yet to receive funds.
While highlighting this Minister for Education Aseri Radrodro said they had received a lot of queries from parents.
He said some parents had raised their concerns that the Government had withheld the $200 back to school assistance for Year 12 students.
Parents upon checking with the ministry were advised that they were waiting for the release of the Year 12 Certificate Examination.
The Ministry of Finance in an advisory stated that applications for the $200 back to school assistance closed on January 26.
It stated that most of the applications were received on or before January 20 and had been processed and paid.
