Kombat Uluinakau captain Ponipate Loganimasi maybe a late bloomer in rugby but he has his dream set on sevens rugby.

The 24-year-old’s performance at the 36th Fiji Bitter Nawaka 7s at Prince Charles Park, Nadi, last weekend had heads turning.

Following a convincing run through the pool matches, quarterfinal and semi-final his side lost 33-10 to the Fiji Development in the final.

Loganimasi, who is originally from Ono-i-Lau with maternal links to Nabua, Savusavu, seriously took up rugby two years ago when he joined Uluinakau.
