Fiji Collaborates With Australia On Seismology

The Ministry of Lands and Mineral Resources has identified areas of shared interest with Geoscience Australia and the Australian Bureau of Meteorology.

Permanent Secretary, Raijeli Taga revealed said they are looking out for opportunities to develop the Ministry’s capability when it comes to natural hazards. Acting director of the Mineral Resources Department Raymond Mohammed and other senior officials from the ministry’s Seismology team met representatives from Geoscience Australia and the Australian Bureau of Meteorology.
