Despite Moana Pasifika’s 48-7 thrashing against Chiefs in their pre-season match last Saturday, head coach Aaron Mauger is confident of a good outing at this year’s Super Rugby Pacific competition.
Moana Pasifika hosts the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua in their Super Rugby opener at Mt Smart Stadium in Auckland, New Zealand, on February 25.
Certainly, Moana Pasifika are a far better team than they were this time last year and at times they were challenged the Chiefs, but Mauger says there are some key lessons they’ll take from the game.
