Investigation Files Of The Former PM, Former A-G And Suspended Police Commissioner Have Been Sent To The Office Of The Director of Public Prosecutions For legal Advice.

The investigation files of the former Prime Minister, former Attorney-General and suspended Police Commissioner have been sent to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for legal advice.
Chief of Intelligence, Investigations and Prosecutions, Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police (A/ACP) Sakeo Raikaci said the questioning process of the former Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama, former Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum, and suspended Commissioner of Police Brigadier-General Sitiveni Qiliho had been suspended, as the investigation files will be forwarded to the office of the DPP for legal advice.
He said the Special Taskforce continued its investigation into other reports lodged against senior political figures and former Supervisor of Elections.
The former Prime Minister and former Attorney General were both questioned at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) for allegations of abuse of office with regards to a separate report lodged earlier.
Brigadier-General Qiliho was interviewed by the CID on the allegations of abuse of office.
