Australia Announces 3000 Visa Deals For Pacific Workers
A new visa will allow up to 3000 people from the Pacific region to migrate to Australia as permanent residents each year, under a scheme modelled on a New Zealand immigration program.

A new visa will allow up to 3000 people from the Pacific region to migrate to Australia as permanent residents each year, under a scheme modelled on a New Zealand immigration program.
The bill for the new visa was reportedly be introduced to the Australian Parliament yesterday.
If passed, the 3000 successful applicants can include partners and dependent children. The Pacific Engagement Visa (PEV) has a two-step application process, under which applicants must first register in a ballot and pay a fee of $Au25 ($Fj38).
