Police Mobilise Quickly To Ensure Safety Of Students

Police officers were quick to move around to schools, towns and cities to ensure students safety as they return home. Fiji Police Force is pleading with parents and guardians to prioritise their safety at home.
Chief Operations Officer (COO) Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police (A/ACP) Livai Driu said the safety of children should be of paramount importance over the next few days.
“Police officers will be moving around ensuring children are not loitering in towns and cities and advised to go home”.
“This is not the time for children to be playing in flooded areas, playing near flooded drains, rivers and creeks, as they should be at home and supervised by a responsible adult”.
The Chief Operations Officer is reminding members of the public not to be complacent with their safety, as it could result in the unfortunate loss of life.
