Minister Heads To India For Spare Parts Purchase

A Government minister will leave for a shopping trip to India, in a move that can be likened to a band-aid solution to old archaic problem.
A date has not been revealed about the quest for spare parts for sugar mills.
A budget for the entire exercise is also unknown.
But Sugar minister, Charan Jeath Singh, has also called for a long term alternative to the old problem faced by sugar miulls.
The trip is among moves to address ongoing concerns over the need to improve the deteriorating state of the mill’s infrastructure, he said.
“I would be meeting with a reasonable number of State-owned mill owners and millers,” Mr Singh said.
“This trip would offer me an opportunity to negotiate with these mill companies in India, to purchase lying and unused state-of-art mills, which still have an adequate shelf-life left”
