Australia regards its relationship with Fiji in the Pacific with paramount importance.

Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong made those remarks during a tour of the Blackrock Peacekeeping and Humanitarian Assistance & Disaster Relief Camp in Votualevu, Nadi yesterday.

Ms Wong said she understood how important Fiji was to the region and the roles in which it could play in many sectors of leadership.
