Fijian Drua Next For Beaten Waratahs

The Waratahs have turned their attention to their Shop N Save Super Rugby Pacific round two match against the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua, at AAMI Park in Melbourne, Australia, next Saturday.
The Jake Gordon captained- side lost 31-25 to Brumbies in the opening round at Allianz Stadium in Sydney on Friday night.
Trailing 31-22, Waratahs opted to take a penalty right on injury time to narrow the deficit and grab a point from the encounter.
“We started really well but had trouble controlling the ball,” Gordon said.
Former Flying Fijian winger Nemani Nadolo came in as a substitute as he made his debut for Waratahs. He was also making a return to Super Rugby after seven years. Nadolo last played for Crusaders in 2016.
Meanwhile, defending champions Crusaders suffered a 31-10 defeat at the hands of Chiefs at Orangetheory Stadium in Christchurch in New Zealand on Friday night.
“It stings all right. It hurts. First thing you do is look at yourself as coaches. What can we do better?” Robertson told Stuff.
“They were good, and we weren’t where we needed to be. We actually trained really well this week. We thought we had a really good mindset. But our executions and our structures, we’re going to have to look at ourselves.”
Results: Crusaders 10-31 Chiefs, Waratahs 25-31 Brumbies
