As of last night, Fijians living in Vanuatu were safe. Residents on the island have been advised to stay indoors while the country experiences the devastation of Tropical Cyclone (TC) Judy.
TC Judy had strengthened to category four with destructive hurricane force winds damaging homes, uprooting trees and causing power cuts on her path.
Fiji Community Vanuatu president Thomas Bruce, speaking from Vanuatu’s capital, Port Vila, claimed winds of up to 200 kilometres per hour were experienced yesterday.
