Sheemal Nadan First Housing Authority On-Site Female Engineer
Housing Authority’s first on-site female engineer, Sheemal Nadan is grateful to the previous government for fulfilling her dreams through the Tertiary Education Loans Scheme.
The 27-year-old from Koronubu, Ba said her decision to pursue a career in Civil Engineering began at Form Three when she developed a love for Technical Drawing at Xavier College.
As she progressed through secondary school, she studied Technical Drawing (TD), Chemistry and Physics as her subject combination.
Born into a humble family of sugarcane and vegetable farmers, Ms Nadan said she knew too well that her dream to be an engineer would not have been made possible without funding from TELS.
