PM Visited Fiji Citizens In California, United States.

The Hon PM Sitiveni Rabuka attended a summit on Oceans Conference in Panama to celebrate bold leadership and shared action towards the collective goal of protecting at least 30 per cent of world’s oceans by 2030.
In the margins of his meetings, Fiji’s PM was hosted by the Divine Fijian Group, a multimillion company based in Santa Rosa in California.
He attended a welcoming traditional ceremony followed by a church service attended by the Fijian community in the Bay area.
After being hosted to a hefty lunch, the Hon PM had a talanoa session with the audience on which most queries were resolved and actioned.
The Fijian community was overwhelmed with PM’s first official trip to the States. According to, a Fijian living in California, “We are happy that we have seen the changes happening in our homeland after many years of living in the wilderness, a country that was filled with heavy corruption and fear. We are so fortunate to have him after just 71 days in office and his early presence is a sign of reassurance of prosperity and peace in our home country. We hope to have him back anytime soon, we are so happy to see him in great health and wisdom despite his age.”
Meanwhile, Fiji exceeded the $1billion mark in remittance in 2022, a huge contribution were sourced from the united states diaspora living in America. Around 50,000 people Fijian citizens live in the United States.
