President Accepts Invitation To Ordination Of Anglican Archbishop
President Ratu Wiliame Katonivere received a courtesy call from a delegation from the Anglican Church’s Diocese of Polynesia at State House on Thursday.
This was in preparation for the installation and ordination of Reverend Sione Silongo Uluilakepa as the 8th Bishop of the Diocese of Polynesia and Archbishop of Aotearoa, New Zealand and Polynesia.

Traditional Tongan gifts and ‘magiti’ (traditional offering of food in substantial quantities) were presented to invite the President to the event.
The consecration and installation ceremony will take place in Suva on Saturday while the ordination service which will take place on Sunday at the Holy Trinity Anglican Cathedral.

President Ratu Wiliame accepted the invitation and congratulated the Archbishop-Elect.
