A Rakiraki man charged with one count of murder, two counts of incitement, and one count of arson was granted bail by the High Court in Lautoka yesterday.
This is the case of Vinay Darsan, who allegedly murdered his wife Aleshmin Pratap, who died in a fire that destroyed the family’s five-bedroom home on August 23, last year at Mullau, Rakiraki.
Darsan is also alleged to have urged a Sakaraia Vunisuwai to commit robbery on August 19, 2022, and is alleged to have urged a Viliame Nayacalevu to commit murder on August 21, 2022, in Rakiraki.
