Dreketi Market vendors are happy that Government has promised to temporarily fix their market by June.

On his official visit to the Northern Division, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, Biman Prasad, made his intentions clear on ensuring Fijians engaged in a safe business environment.

The market has long been a stop-over and refreshment spot for commuters and travellers going to and from the Nabouwalu Jetty.

Mr Prasad said they had identified the challenges faced by farmers and vendors of the old market.
