Lawyer Granted More Time In Korovou Murder Case

Two men accused of murdering a Canadian national in Korovou last month appeared at the High Court in Suva.

Edward Hermant Hirdesh Nand of Nabilo Settlement, Korovou and Salimoni Lagicere of Naibita Village, Korovou, were each charged with one count of murder.

They are alleged to have colluded to rob Narend Chand upon his arrival in Fiji last month.

It is alleged that Mr Chand had been communicating with one of the accused persons who was using a fake profile as a woman, and the two accused had planned to meet upon his arrival, where they took him under the pretext of meeting the woman he was communicating with.
