Man Charged With Death Of Ba Carpenter Fronts Court
Magistrate Samuela Qica transferred the case of murder accused Livai Naqaro to the High Court in Lautoka because it is an indictable offence.
This is the case of Livai Naqaro, who allegedly assaulted carpenter Maika Moko, 40, of Lavuci in Ba who was found motionless on the morning of March 10 in Ba Town.
Mr Moko was conveyed to the Ba Aspen Hospital and later transferred to Lautoka Hospital where he passed away on March 12 from injuries sustained.
The matter was heard at the Magistrates Court in Ba and Naqaro appeared without a lawyer while the prosecution was represented by Assistant Superintendent of Police Mohammed Harif.
