Evivi Senikararivi would go missing from attending classes at the Fiji National University (Fiji Maritime Academy) to join her friends for rugby.
Originally from Qalira, Nabukelevu, Kadavu, her parents supported her financially with the hope that she would one day graduate and get a job.
“As an island girl and we use boats and sea vessels as our mode of transport and I was fascinated with the thought that I would be working on one, one day,” Senikararivi said.
