Former Fijian Electoral Commission chairperson Suresh Chandra wants to clear his name and every single cent to be paid back.
This was part of the mitigation submissions by Chandra’s lawyer, Devanesh Sharma, in Chandra’s case yesterday before the Independent Legal Services Commission (ILSC), Commissioner Justice Gihan Kulatunga.
Chandra has been found guilty for six counts of professional misconduct for unreconciled monies amounting to $2.139 million.
Commissioner Justice Kulatunga found Chandra liable for five out of the six professional misconduct charges.
